Carmit Bachar Reclaims Her Voice: Solo Music, Surgery and a New Mission

Music meets mission

For about two decades Bachar has served as an ambassador for Operation Smile, hosting galas and helping raise awareness. She wrote the song 'Keep On Smiling' in 2010 for the charity and is now releasing an updated acoustic version produced by Davy Nathan, along with solo music and an EP as a gift to longtime fans.

What’s next

Now a mom to teen daughter Keala with husband Kevin Whitaker, Bachar says she is finishing a long-gestating memoir, proud of her contributions to the Dolls' legacy, and wishes the group well after their U.S. tour cancellation while rooting for their European dates.
