The 43-year-old Prince of Wales toured the new facility, meeting staff, local partners and people helped by the charity. His visit marks the fourth James' Place centre he has opened, after Liverpool, London and Newcastle.
Founded 20 years ago and named for James Wentworth-Stanley, the charity provides rapid professional therapy for men in suicidal crisis. It is a founding partner of the National Suicide Prevention Network and is piloting two satellite services in the North East and North West for 12 months.
