The calamity struck shortly after 4 PM at a popular rocky inlet where many visitors were swimming and exploring. A sudden surge of water overwhelmed those present, dragging them beneath the waves. According to reports from emergency services, several people were swept away by the force of the water, which included both local residents and international tourists.

A coast guard helicopter was able to rescue one person alive, but unfortunately, another was retrieved deceased from the waters. The latest updates confirm a total of four deaths, with two men and two women among the victims. Initial reports identified one man, aged 35, and a 55-year-old woman as some of the deceased, while another woman, who had been resuscitated on site, unfortunately succumbed to her injuries in the hospital.
