A shocking event unfolded on the western coast of Tenerife, one of the Canary Islands, as a powerful wave swept several tourists into the sea, resulting in tragedy. Four individuals lost their lives, and authorities are still searching for another person who went missing.

The incident occurred shortly after 4 PM at one of the popular natural pools in Los Gigantes, located in the municipality of Santiago del Teide. At that time, numerous visitors were either swimming or relaxing on the rocks. Suddenly, a colossal wave surged toward them, pulling many into the turbulent waters.

Emergency services reported that several people were swept away by the strong currents, with foreign tourists among the victims, as indicated by local media. A rescue helicopter managed to recover one person alive and another deceased from the water.
